Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question? Here, I've answered my frequently asked questions. If there is something I haven't covered, you might be able to find the answer elsewhere on this site, or please feel free to contact me.

What equipment do you use?

I use a full range of professional photographic equipment from Sony. This includes my two Sony A7iii cameras, two Sony Speedlites and 24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200mm f2.8 lenses. In my camera bag, I also carry a backup camera to cover for equipment failure.

How do we book you?

Booking with me is simple. Once you get in touch, I'll send through an information form for you to fill out. I'll then send through the documents for the booking, and once the booking fee has been paid and the contract has been signed, your date is booked in my calendar!

Are you insured?

Yes, I hold Professional Photographers insurance with Eversure. This covers me for my equipment, £5m public liability and also most importantly professional indemnity; which makes sure you and I are both fully covered.

How does payment work?

To secure the booking, I ask for a £100 booking fee to be paid at the time of booking. The remaining balance for the package is due no later than 60 days prior to the wedding.

Do we get to see all of the photos?

You'll receive a selection of the photos that tell the story of your day best. This means that all photos of you or your guests blinking, misfires or duplicate photographs are removed when they're processed. All of the good quality photos are yours. You could receive anywhere between 300-500 photographs in your finished album. The amount of guests at your wedding, availability of locations and the weather can all play a part with how many photos you'll receive.

Where are you based and how far do you travel?

I am based in Chichester, West Sussex. As standard, my wedding photography packages include travel within 75 miles of PO20 3QR.
I can cover the rest of the UK and destination weddings abroad, but a travel fee will apply.

Black and White or Colour?

I really love colour photos... but also love black and white just as much! Weddings are naturally very colourful and I love colour photos for that exact reason. But, sometimes, a photo just suits black and white better. If I make a photo black and white, I usually supply a colour version of it too.

What if I don't want my photos to be used in your portfolio?

If you would rather that your photos were not used in my portfolio and on social media, mention it to me and I will have no problems with you asking as I understand your wedding photos are intimate and personal to you and your partner. If you are someone who is in the public interest and it is important that information about your wedding is not disclosed, an NDA/privacy agreement can be produced.

Will we own the copyright to the photos?

Once the photos are delivered to you either through the online album or through a USB stick, you'll have full reproduction rights to the photos. This allows you to print and share the photos as you wish. However, I will retain the copyright to the photographs. All of the photos from your wedding day will be uploaded onto an online album where your family and friends can order print products through.

When will we get the photos after the wedding?

In the days following your wedding, I will send you through a small selection of 10-20 photos for you to share. I aim to deliver the photos to you within four weeks after the date of your wedding. During the busy season, it can take up to 6 -8 weeks to deliver your finished photos. I am a perfectionist and don't like to rush the editing of photos, so only deliver them once I am happy with them.
